More like in common sense, in it we should trust.

In the case of Amtrak, politics have driven Amrak to have rail lines that are mandated that move doezens of customers. Amtrak spends thousands of dollars per customer and takes in a fraction of that cost. Tax payers spend hundreds and thousands of dollars to move a person by train because some congressman wants to keep a line open. It is right out of Atlas Shrugged.

Look at the bill that gives money to small airlines. In a story last week I saw where there are planes that go between small airports with 1 or 2 people on them. The taxpayer spends over a thousand dollars per person while the ticket costs less than a hundred.

When the government perverts the free market it costs us billions. You can say you hate money, but it doesn't mean we have to waste it.

Explain to me, please, how a government service is supposed to be profitable??? Even if they made more money than they spent, they would use it on some other government service. The almighty dollar....in it we trust.
