The 700,000 in Sarah Palin book sales compares to the 900,000 first week books sales for Bill Clinton’s book.  However, Bill Clinton’s book came out after he was a two-term president.

There seems to be a lot of interest in the Palin book as it is current listed in the top 20 selling books on Amazon for 2009, BEFORE it was available.  This was based on the pre-orders on Amazon.  A recent news story indicated that the new book by Sarah Palin sold over 300,000 copies on the first day it was available.

Apparently the Palin book tour is quite popular.  At a recent event in Michigan drew over 1,500 people in freezing weather to meet Sarah Palin at a local Barnes and Noble.
